Vanity Scene

A stylized yet realistic vanity environment created in Blender, focused on material detail, lighting, and visual storytelling.

Take A Closer Look…

Why I Built This

I wanted to challenge myself to design and execute a complex visual system from scratch — balancing realism, aesthetics, and technical constraints within a single environment. This project mirrors how I approach product work: breaking a large problem into smaller components, iterating toward quality, and making intentional tradeoffs.

Project Highlights

Modeled and textured a full vanity environment from scratch

  1. Designed lighting to simulate a natural, early-morning interior

  2. Balanced realism and stylization to guide visual focus

  3. Scoped and executed the project independently from concept to final render

Transferable Skills (PM / Engineer / Analyst)

  • Building this scene forced me to take something that felt overwhelming and break it into manageable pieces. I had to constantly think about how one decision (materials, lighting, geometry) would affect everything else, very similar to how product or technical systems work.

  • I relied on quick tests, visual feedback, and repeated refinement to improve the final result, which mirrors how I like to build products: ship, learn, and improve.

  • Working in Blender pushed me to learn complex, node-based workflows and debug issues independently. It strengthened my comfort working in technical environments, even when I’m learning as I go.
